I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
